If you have no knowledge of history or rely on recent newspaper reports you must do some research before making any outrageous or irresponsible impulsive comments. India WAS and remains the ONLY place on the face of the earth which kept its
doors wide open for all people, races, communities, faiths and ideas.
When you keep your doors open in good faith, lots of great and nice vibrations enter but also nasty thugs, thieves and invaders and plunderers! India never needed an Immigration or naturalization department in its governments. We naturalized our incoming people spiritually. Obviously more and more people came into India when we were very
Prosperous and rich. The legendary riches of India are seldom mentioned when people talk about contemporary India.
Today India is poor, because we trusted all incoming people without any prejudice. We never asked them what religion or race you are. We just accepted them with our open hearts. Jews, Christians, Parsis (Zoroastrians from Persia today called Iran), Arabs, Mediterranean's, Central Asians and others.
If Indigenous tribes of the Americas had a stronger and richer culture, a consistent civilization; today
Europeans would have been absorbed by them like India did in past thousands of years.
By the way, I must make a note here that if the Indigenous nations of Americas had an Immigration and Naturalization Services like modern USA has, today the history of the world
would have been different. European settlers would not have able to destroy 1000 million animals and 95% of the natives and the languages of Americas will not be English or Spanish but Aztec, toltec, Maya and North American languages.
India of today is a continuation of a very ancient civilized tradition and anyone not knowing India deeply
can fall into generalizations and comment rather foolishly. I am not saying India or its inherent values are the best or worst.
India definitely is one of the most ancient civilizations living today, but it also has managed to keep its innermost traditions and wonderful pro life customs. All other ancient civilizations are somewhere dead in the books or encyclopaedias whereas Indian civilization is not only surviving but flourishing since times immemorial.
Politically India may today be a nascent democracy or its broken parts like
Pakistan, Bangladesh or Nepal may sing their own songs and become full fledged countries, yet Indian civilization thrives in all over South Asia.
In our zeal to be a receptive society, lot of wonderful ideas and thoughts entered.
Yet we had to filter and recycle despite lot of foul and nasty ideas but we kept our traditions of
our OPEN DOOR policy.
People of India, also emigrated to far off lands and their stamp of culture is still visible in all parts of Asia.
Many times, benefiting from our open door land concept, political and politicized religious zealots also entered
in Indian territories and poisoned our peace loving people. These political incursions and agents imposed their
Belief systems by trick and force. All societies have weaker and easily influenced people and they do adapt any
New value system to renovate their culture or to possibly change their social standing. Political ideologues in the garb of
Religious missionaries can be dangerous for any society. This is unacceptable and unethical.
Religious or spiritual missionaries are not supposed to sell any political propaganda, if they do that in any form,
They are to be condemned. Have you ever heard in the history of mankind, a Hindu missionary anywhere in the world,
Talking about greatness of Indian belief system and or trying to convert foreigners by this or that excuse.
The will of Indian state and people was forced to break by constant and vicious attacks by plunderers
for centuries and the seeds of disharmony which were sown by them, made our élites fight with each
other and thus India's door were broken and just anybody came in pushing their way into the
golden empire of India. India had no problems like population, poverty and other problems of a poor country - because it was a self-reliant, highly enriched and refined by thousands of years of culture and civic sense; WORLD of its own.
Today India is on its way to overcome these acquired problems. India under its boundaries is working damn hard like anybody else, despite our less or more resources, our big population, and our extremely diverse people.
It is THE Most tolerant country in the world.
Before pointing your fingers, you must go to the world's 100 major countries and try live there and you will see the bigots, the racism, the xenophobia, the intolerance to other faiths and many obstacles for minorities.
Whereas India is a paradise for all its people. It is the freest country of the world.
There is a biased, bigot American conservative organization called heritage foundation which rates countries on liberties and privileges enjoyed by its populace, and they give India and all poor countries the lowest ranks for their ignorance, blind view of the world and similarly most other Western organizations and lobbies around the world - speak anything they like with great authority on Poor countries. Since India may be poorer today, economically, it does not mean, it should be viewed as POOR. IT is the MOST wonderful and richest nation in this world - if you go and check the contentment and stress-free life most of its people live, compared to the 20 richest nations.
Indian Christians came to the Coastal India of South, at the same time the Christian faith entered European and Mediterranean coasts. Christianity in India is as old as it is in Palestine.
If we do a ranking of most spiritual people of the world, India will be always NUMBER ONE for the greatest compassion of its wonderfully diverse people.
We have no Chinese walls, no barriers, no controls or laws against religions or faiths. This absolute religious tolerance for last thousands of years, have given us a great capacity to bear, to tolerate to allow all faiths.
Because of our freedom, liberty and very ancient democratic traditions, India today has ALL religions and faiths of the world - in practice.
There is no other nation, including the US and EEC Nations, Japan or Latin America or East Europe or Africa or Middle East or Asia - where you have so much freedom, choice, liberty to practice any faith. You can even invent your own religion and create a new creed, religion or belief system.
There has been very stupid, ignorant and unprofessional news mongering campaign among Western news agencies against the awakening India and there is a severe mis-interpretation in translating the feelings of 850 Million people of India which come under Hinduism.
Some vested interests have been putting fire of hate, among Hindus and Muslims, Christians and Hindus and vise versa.
They must know that Indian people - whether they come under any religious label are profoundly compassionate people and they are not going to tolerate any wrongdoing. There is no place in India for extremists. The so called Hindu extremists or Islamic fundamentalists or Christian Evangelists come under ONE category and that is BIGOTS.
We have no place for Bigots of any kind or religion.
India will remain an open door country for centuries to come and will welcome all noble thoughts and ideas as our people are very absorbing and all people and ideas who came to India eventually become Indianized themselves!
Let us discuss herE the ongoing controversial issue of so-called persecution of minorities in India. Let us deal with the truth only and let us not try to create new theories or concepts. What we need to know is HISTORY and the present and then conclude ourselves what is wrong and what is good.
The purpose of education and all faiths is to distinguish between the right and the wrong.
I invite your views on the issue and will attempt to provide you a historical perspective and the history of Christianity in India.

Catholic church has absolutely NOTHING, ZERO, ZILCH for its believers.
It has no rights or privileges to impose its stupidity on non believers.
It has lost 90% of base in Italy, Spain and other so called Catholic countries.
It should stop its evil and devilish propaganda machine and use its vast resources to help poor and downtrodden.

Christian missionaries can convert only dalits or money greedy faction. No question of high caste Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists or Jains. Don't even think of Muslims. Very often, the prey for the missionaries are illiterate tribals and poor dalits. Flush the missionaries out of India.

The Yoga centers have no intention of converting people to Hinduism or Buddhism.
The missionaries come with that intent and that intent onyl. The missionaries are agents of their parent churches that want to target the illiterarte, poor and weak in Asia, Africa and the world. The Yoga teachers are not affilaited to an organised Hindu church, simply because Hindus have no organised churches. Yoga teachers never target their student for conversion.

Ethiopia has been a free nation for 5,000 years, except for about 6 years ( 1935 to 1941 ). Has freedom helped Ethiopia?
Why is it that some locations can jump from the stone-age in 100 to 200 years, to join the world's best, and others do not?

Well have u ever thought that how is it possible for Christians in India to do ANY 'good', go to their accounts section and SEE u dummer...that the majority of the donations come from Hindus.
FYI you have Christian Hospitals registered as Charitable Hospitals but u can see them charging their poor patients highly for the poor service they provide...it would be wonderful if u would go and see the attitudes of the doctors and nurses in these hospitals.
It is mainly Hindus who patronize and because of which the Christian schools and colleges run, have u ever entered theses institutions to see what kind of donations these people seek and what kind of money they make?
All the huge amounts of monies which come from Hindus...partly goes into converting (if only minds) stupid people like yourself who just know how to live in hatred and am sure tomorrow if you were to be benefitted by a muslim... you would forget all about Christian Evangelists.
The other and a larger part of these amounts of course goes into providing for Christians ONLY.

Christianity...the biggest lie of a religion.
History is more than merely vague about the existence of an actual Jesus. Many merely assume that there must have been such a person, otherwise the gospels wouldn't have been written. This is an unfounded assumption. These so-called records are highly contradictory and their authorship is unknown. Their appearance on the stage of history is said to be by many competent scholars about the middle of the second century, despite the attempt to date them earlier . . . by many defenders of the "faith."
So eminent a biblical scholar as Alfred Loisy (who was excommunicated by the Roman Catholic Church on account of his findings)renders his opinion:
". . . to present as the sole and total cause of Christianity, one human being who, considered as divine, was also the very object worshipped by that religion would only be to create another myth."
Loisy further maintains that the Christian religion was not created solely by myth, but, he also contends that Jesus alone cannot account for its origin.
This statement alone offers poor consolation to the historicists who stoutly maintain that Christianity couldn't have arisen without a personal founder.

You are fine sir. The problem comes when people abuse the system. We encourage a healthy and sane discussion that is open and unbiased but it must have a few rules. We prefer that one user one alias or name else it becomes a mindless graffitti kind of indecipherable messages.
Your stand is clear and we appreciate it but be brave and write clearly without fear without personally offending anyone.
When you say Hindus it means actually nothing.
Its like saying Europeans or Arabs.
Please be aware of the realities and dont use your education and energy to simply point fingers.
It is better to be a normal person than all this hi or low caste nonsense. Calling yourself dalit is a sign of a massive and pointless collective lack of esteem which will never bring any results.
I want all these dalit and low caste self styled people to BE NORMAL and fight back any injustice on case to case basis instead of trying to behave like cowards of these al qaida and other similar mumbo jumbo islamic groups.

I strongly Object to the above statement because I was a beneficairy of the good work of Christian Evangelists and I believe that Christian Evangelists stole nothing from me or the person who wrote the above foolish statement, infact they have made a positive impact in my life and the life of many others, true there are selfish people in every religion but I believe that christians are the most generous people and the Hindus can never match that considering the amount of good they did, I dont understand the reason for them objecting to somebody converting somebody else with whom they have no business at all, this is clear absurdity.. while the millions of Hindus are fanatics and that is the reason why organizations like VHP get so much support and acclaim

Sub: An IITian who saved India from Cobbler Shinde and Cobbler Pawar from becoming Telgi Shinde and Telgi Pawar.
A Kanpur IITian decided to join the police force after graduation. . His name was Sanjay Pandey. While he was deputy commissioner of Mumbai police in the Economic Offences Wing of the Crime Branch he took on his political bosses in the cobbler scam in which crores of Rupees were siphoned off by politicians like the present Maharasta chief minister Sushil Kumar Shinde and NCP chief Sharad Pawar. The congress government of Maharastra shifted this upright IPS officer to Jalna as the head of Police Training School. which was a non IPS post.. Sanjay Pandey's action stopped the cobbler scam at around Rs 1000 crore. If this upright IPS officer was not there we would have witnessed the scam to grow like the fake stamp paper scam which is said to be about Rs 67,000 crores and India would have witnessed two more Telgis, like Telgi Shinde and Telgi Pawar.
Few years later Sanjay Pandey left police force and joined the Tata Consultancy Services. Currently he runs a cyber security business in Delhi. He is now contesting the Lok Sabha election from the Mumbai North Central constituency which includes Asia's largest slum Dharavi.
It is important to know the cobbler scam in which the congress politicians siphoned off crores. In the Rs 1,000-crore cobbler scam the present congress chief minister of Maharastra, Shinde's Chakrayu society flouted the rules and siphoned public funds under the garb of co-operative society for poor cobblers. Former Mumbai sheriff Sadruddin Daya of Dawood shoes, Rafique Tejani of Metro Shoes and Kishore Signapurkar of Milano Shoes were held as the prime accused in the Rs 1,000-crore cobbler scam. NCP leader and former Maharashtra chief minister, Sharad Pawar is also linked to the scam.. Tejani was a director of the Rs 500-crore Dynamix Dairy Products Pvt Ltd in which Pawar has a stake through the holdings of family members. The sole milk supplier to Dynamix, the Baramati Milk Cooperative, is controlled by Pawar. Good amount of the money from the shoe scam was diverted to Dynamix. During Pawar's regime. . It was at this time this time that Sushil Kumar Shinde, chief of the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), floated the Chakrayu society which flouted every rule in the book. It dealt in machine-made goods against the mandatory rule of handcrafted leatherwear. So while the project report guaranteed employment to 2,000 cobblers, only about 50 were actually employed. Further, the rules say that 10 per cent of the total funds should be contributed by members of the society; 60 per cent should come from financial institutions and the state government should loan the remaining 30 per cent. According to the Accountant General's report, member contribution to the Rs 133-lakh Chakrayu project was just Rs 4.75 lakh. Of this, Rs 4.25 lakh was contributed by 200 members who were shown as "people of repute". Investigations reveal that they included Kripashankar, vice-president, MPCC and Ramdas Phutane, a Congress MLC, among others.
With the cobblers being too poor to contribute even the token Rs 100 to join cooperatives, it is usually the Mahatma Phule Vikas Mahamandal which pays their membership fee. However, in the case of Chakrayu, the Mahamandal refused to give the funds. In 1992, Shinde, then state finance minister, got the government to sanction Rs 44.5 lakh for the society in three installments. In a further flouting of rules, Shinde got the Maharashtra State Finance Corporation to sanction Rs 60 lakh. Once Chakrayu was formed, the cobblers' interests were given a back seat. . Normally, every member of a cooperative society has equal voting rights, but Chakrayu modified the rule and only members with a contribution of Rs 1,000 or more were entitled to vote. This virtually alienated the cobbler members of the society. This is how the congress party had run our nation since independence. Even in the present Stamp paper scam, newspapers had reported the involvement of congress ministers from Karnataka and CWC members.
It is time that our upright and brilliant scholars like IITians and other professionals to join the politics and save our nation.

I think it is very telling how uptight Hindus get about Christian missionaries in India. I guess Hinduism can't stand a little competition, eh, which is why Hindu fanatics have to try to resort to violence to do what arguments for Hinduism could not.
Pathetic.
You don't see Americans getting uptight about all the Yoga centres and whatnot in the USA, even though these are for all intents and purposes Hindu missionary organisations. Perhaps this is because America has developed a more spiritually mature society in which religious groups don't feel that they have to try to kill off minority groups which "threaten" them.
