The ridiculous Reactions of Indian Leaders to Saddam's Execution.
I am very much bothered and at the same time amused by the reactions of many of our political leaders to Saddam's Execution.
These men who are not bothered by the deaths of innocent Indian people happening every day and not bothered about the lives of soldiers and policemen in duty are moaning the death of Saddam. Saddam might belong to the Russian support group like India but he was a ruthless dictator and killed many people without much hesitation. Saddam needs to be sympathised on the only ground that we have no right to take a life however wicked and dangerous that life may be.
I am not interested in Bush's stand and I don't think God asked him to go to war against Iraq. In Bible Jesus clearly states that whoever lives by sword dies by sword. I don't think Jesus has changed his teachings for Bush.
There is no need for us to take the Americans' side or Saddam's side as anybody can see that both sides are pushing selfish ends and pretending that they are not.
An Indian leader calls saddam's execution as barbaric. Burning daughter-in-laws alive for dowry is civilised. Killing girl children is civilised. Are we in a position to call others barbaric?
These leaders who don't say a word against these atrocities when they come to light are moaning a cruel selfish heartless dictator's death. I don't say the U.S is right. But neither is Saddam.

Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav had been always in the spotlight either for his uncanny behavior or for his involvement in one or more scams. But this time he is in the news for some real good reasons. Presenting his populists budget, he has once again drawn the attention of the general population of India.
The balanced Railway Budget, 2006 has genuinely emerged Lalu Prasad Yadav as a worthy administrator whose wise efforts are likely to make the Indian Railways profitable. For the first time, Indian railways is expected to report a healthy cash reserve of Rs 110 billion after creating the backlog of Rs 2 billion to the Government. The most significant point is that despite the sharp increase in fuel prices over the last one year, no fare hikes are in the offing in his budget the Minister has endeavored to keep most of his 2005-06 budget promises which includes - introduction of new superfast trains on the tracks, reduction of fares and better facilities at the platform.
The Budget also brought good news for the internet savvy passengers. Though the opposition is criticizing a lot but Public opinion shows that the reforms proposed in the budget has really satisfied the general public. One of the Indiademocracy.com users, Deepa Pathak, is geared up on the upgradation of the ticketing facility proposed by the Budget as she said: “It’s not out of ignorance. Upgradation in ticketing while traveling has been followed from sometime and I truly appreciate our railway minister for his forward thought.”
In a bid to reduce the serpentine queues at the booking counters, the budget offers the facility of e-tickets on all mail and express trains, slashing the tax for issuing the ticket by Rs 15 per ticket. The offer will reduce the hurdles faced by the elderly people that they encounter while booking the tickets. This shows that the Minister truly thinks for the “Aam Admi” and not for the “Khas Admi”, unlike our earlier Budgets.
In short, the Minister has been successfully able to disprove Railway experts who had forecasted that modernization of the Indian Railways cannot be done organization was doomed unless a drastic restructuring is done, including hiking the passenger fare.

"The scenario regarding primary education of the state's Muslims, including the Urdu medium schools, is very bleak indeed."
How about the municipal run schools in most of our towns? I once quizzed a 8th standard teacher by asking her what "hospitality" meant and she said it was something to do with "hospitals." And she was supposedly qualified in English.
So while the Madrasas in Bengal may not be your next Ivy league school, the municipal "secular" schools nationwide also need a HUGE face lift...sorry to intrude on your article, just thought I'd point this out to 'ya...

Lessons in harmony, the Bengal madrasa way

Updated: Tuesday, April 04, 2006 at 1140 hours IST
Kolkata, April 4: Schoolgirl Julita Oraon, a devout Christian, never misses Sunday mass, but the rest of her week is spent studying Arabic and Sufi literature among other subjects at an Islamic religious school, or madrasa.
Oraon is one of tens of thousands of Hindu and Christian students in West Bengal now attending such schools, considered breeding grounds for religious intolerance and even terrorism in much of Asia.
In this part of India, madrasas are emerging as beacons of tolerance. A quarter of West Bengal's population of 80 million are Muslims and one
percent are Christians.
In the wake of violence in the 1960s and 70s after the creation of Bangladesh, officials moved to reform West Bengal's schools and especially its madrasas.
In 1977, they started reviewing the Islamic schools, introducing history and social science to the staple of Koranic study. And after 2002, on the recommendation of a specially appointed committee, students had to study science, geography and computing. There are plans for foreign languages soon.
The changes have been credited with bringing about a change in the social outlook of the state's various faiths, and have attracted both teachers and students from other religions to the madrasas. School boards have recruited non-Muslims in a bid to find the best tutors for their students.
Now about 25 per cent of the 400,000 students who attend madrasas, and 15 per cent of their 10,000 teachers, are non-Muslims, officials say.
"In the 1970s, the mistrust grew and Muslims were thought to be friends of Pakistan and mostly spies," says Ahmed Hasan Imran, the general secretary of the Muslim Council of Bengal. "But that perception gradually changed with the reforms in the madrasas as well as other education institutes."
Getting along
Swapan Pramanik, a leading sociologist and vice-chancellor of Vidya Sagar University in Kolkata, agrees that the reforms have helped bridge the
divide.
"The conservative outlook of the Muslims as well as Hindus have changed," he says. "The changes have rubbed off on parents and whole communities,
who have been able to spread the message of harmony."
The reforms have saved lives, experts say.
After the Ayodhya incident in 1992 much of India was wracked by deadly communal riots. But in Bengal students from madrasas, both Muslims and
Hindus, led processions denouncing the demolition, Imran says.
In the aftermath of the Gujarat riots a decade later, Bengal's Hindus, Christians and Muslims were quick to meet to ensure passions were cooled. The state government offered riot victims the chance to come and settle in West Bengal.
"People find it difficult to believe, but our madrasas ... are reflecting modern aspirations and expectations of the community irrespective of
religion," Kanti Biswas, the state's education minister, told Reuters.
"We had carefully planned the madrasa reforms to make young minds understand the values of religious tolerance and it is finally paying off."
Top of the class
In Jalpaiguri district, about 500 km north of Kolkata, 14-year-old Julita is posting higher marks in Arabic tests than her Muslim classmates at
the Badaitari Ujiria Madrasa.
"I like the subject very much and that fact that I am a Christian has never been a problem with my Muslim friends."
Tapas Layek, the Hindu headmaster of a madrasa in south Kolkata has several co-religionists as colleagues. "We are loved and respected by
our Muslim students who are also friendly with their Hindu classmates," he said.
Bengali Muslim scholars say that the view that madrasas are simply Islamic finishing schools is a corruption of their traditional role.
"Our madrasas are the perfect examples of what such institutes should really be," said Dr. Mohammed Sahidullah at Calcutta University.
Renowned Bengali filmmaker Mrinal Sen, a former jury member at the Cannes festival, said the state's experiment should be copied across the country.
"I can't help but be amazed at the way some of these religious schools are working towards communal harmony," he said.
Officials from other states -- including Maharashtra and Rajasthan -- have come to West Bengal to see the impact of the changes for themselves, said education minister Biswas.
"The perception of the respective communities about different culture and religion has helped residents of West Bengal to bridge the gulf of mistrust and come together," said sociologist Pramanik. "This has been a significant development in madrasas for the entire world to see."
.......
RESPONSE
It was nice to read the piece about Bengal's madrasas - but I'm afraid this is a "planted" story, by a cynical publicist, not so coincidentally with the assembly elections around the corner.
This is very much an "establishment" view, witness the people quoted. For someone living in West Bengal and aware of things, some of the quoted names are hardly regarded with any respect or seriousness - such as Swapan Pramanik, a well-known party stooge and bankrupter of academia; Kanti Biswas, the sacked education minister; and Ahmed Hasan Imran, who is hardly a person of any integrity.
The scenario regarding primary education of the state's Muslims, including the Urdu medium schools, is very bleak indeed. A huge number of the Muslims in the urban areas like Calcutta and Howrah live in acute poverty, backwardness and illiteracy. Regarding reforms - there has been a Madrasa Board, for secondary and higher secondary education for quite some time. But the no. of madrasas receiving state support - is a miniscule proportion of the total no. of madrasas in the state. Madrasas - must therefore be seen in this context, of being the formal schooling option for a section that lacks any other means. And speaking of state-supported madrasas - the pitiable condition of the glorious institution of yesteryears, the Calcutta Madrasa, is testimony to the true attitude of the state towards Madrasas.
West Bengal is one of the prime failure cases of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, with the project money being returned unspent. Speak to any madrasa teacher and they will say that they hear so much about funds and programmes to upgrade madrasas but they don't see any evidence of this.
Notwithstanding the acceptance of the need to modernise madrasas and their education, curricula, resources etc - besides some sporadic efforts in some places, nothing has really happened. Basically there is no "owner" of such an initiative in govt / party, who can steer it through, diligently and sustainedly. This shows the crisis of leadership of the Muslim community, the govt's / party's alienation and distance from the common people, and its lack of much commitment to this issue.
Regarding people from other states coming to West Bengal to study the madrasa reforms - the truth is that the human development status of Muslims in West Bengal is among the lowest in the country. The Muslim community - is simply an object of strategic deprivation, to provide a permanent pool of cheap labour.
This is only a pathetic means to undo the damage caused by the chief minister's bigoted outburst some years back about madrasas being dens of terrorism or something like that. But nobody's fooled. In a situation of having nothing to show to Muslims before this election, a feebleattempt is made to drum up support by showing all these so-called achievements - through a foreign news agency, for the edification of the so-called secular, educated middle-class and the intelligentsia. No representative of the govt. would have the courage to say any of these things before the Muslims at the grassroots.
West Bengal and the ruling party have a large no. of "intellectuals" - like Mrinal Sen - who pay glowing lip-service to communal harmony, participate in token rituals of "communal harmony" etc. But in reality they are completely divorced from any existential engagement with Muslims, within a society that is deeply stratified and polarised. People are socialised in this milieu. Nor is the intellecutals' commitment backed up by any real effort. They like to believe that West Bengal is a haven of peace. Yes, the state has been committed to preventing communal riots. But communal sentiments abound in step with the Hindutva wave, including among CPM members and supporters; and while Muslims' lives are somewhat secure, they are dying of poverty (witness the inordinate gap between Hindu and Muslim infant mortality). This is not the peace of well-being, but the peace of the graveyard. When establishment secular leftists like Mrinal Sen are told about this reality, about the crying n
eed for drastic measures to uplift the Muslim community (the overwhelming majority of whom are in poverty) - they froth in the mouth and accuse the person of being communal and destructive.
If we really want India to be a secular, democratic society - there is much to be done by the educated, privileged sections (who are predominantly "Hindu"). That would also be something transformative, most of all at a personal level, in terms of one's thoughts, attitudes, conduct, actions, lifestyle etc. Merely wishing well does not make it happen.
Yes, on the ground, in the flesh and blood of the common people of West Bengal, there is tolerance and mutual affection. And that, rather than anything done by the state, keeps West Bengal intact despite the crushing failure of the state. But poverty, backwardness, acute disparities, corruption, mis-governance - undermine and erode this endowment.
The plight of Muslims - is also the plight of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in the state, of the rural and urban poor. The Maoist extremism in some of the adivasi areas of the state, and the state's inability to confront this - illustrates the fact that all is hardly well in West Bengal. And that is only the tip of the iceberg.
But then this looks like just another hilarious fairy tale from the likes of Reuters so one can simply ignore it, except for some much needed mirth and hilarity, since its a nice piece of black humour.

The Mitrokhin Archive II: The KGB and the World
by Christopher Andrew, Vasili Mitrokhin
In 1992, MI6 exfiltrated Vasili Mitrokhin, the most senior activist in the KGB, who had been responsible for running the KGB archives. He had noted thousands of documents, described by the FBI as the greatest single cache of intelligence ever received by the West.' This archive resulted in many prosecutions, some of which are still ongoing. After his defection, Mitrokhin teamed up with Christopher Andrew, Professor of Modern History at Cambridge and the world's leading intelligence scholar. Their first volume, The KGB in Europe and the West, revealed the extent of KGB penetration of what they called The Main Adversary and the existence of a previously unknown nuclear spy, Melita Norwood. The second volume, The KGB and the World, continues the revelations from the sublime to the absurd - which Third World leaders were in the pay of the KGB, precisely how extensive KGB penetration of foreign governments was, and how KGB agents were instructed to assess the spread of the influence of rival Chinese communism (by going round African capitals trying to count the changing number of posters of Mao Tse-tung in shops and public buildings...)

Internet is a fun toy for Kids and Youngsters now
Use of internet by Kids and Youngsters doesnt come as a surprise now-a-days. Infact, the kids starts using internet from the age of 10-12 as a part of their school curriculum. This is Ofcourse appreciable but if we look into the darker side of that, most of the kids and youngsters are getting spoiled due to excessive exposure to the same. Moreover, youngsters are finding the internet cafs, a cozy place where they can spend time with their beloved.
The Secret Lives of Internet Cafes-Tearing Down the Moral Values of Youngsters
The suggestions that are put forth in the blog should be taken seriously by the Government to prevent our next generations from getting spoiled.
I dont know how old you are but you seem to be a luddite. A luddite is a technophobic person.
It is just another media like Television, Radio or printed word. It is responsibility of parents and will of individuals that make one good or bad, not the media.
The evil and good are everywhere exposed to any born child on this planet. How do they perceive the good or bad out there depends on their own free will and their training.
Governments can not control nor should any flow of information. Yes evil acts must be punishable by laws as they are like pornography. But on the net governments have failed to be one voice hence there is widespread misuse of internet. However you can not deny the benefits of the media.

NEHRU TO TWO DUMB DOLLS IN THE GRAB OF KGB
To day’s talk is and coming days’ talk will be Indira’s India and KGB. But I want to remind and the facts show how close we were and we are to disaster under the Congress regime. “You cannot be made great by what you destroy but, by what you build”.
Former Bihar Chief Minister Jagannath Mishra as PTI reported on September 18, 2005, admitted that his brother, who was Railway minister in Indira Gandhi cabinet was of "left leaning" and so was Indira Gandhi and that "Lalit Narain Mishra had brought the Congress close to the CPI".
I recall my comment, which have been published in various newspapers of June 19, 2005 including:: indiatalking.com/blog/premendra/
Former KGB spy Antonio Maino alias Sonia Maino-Gandhi recently went to Russia.
Sonia, still Italian citizen, was a KGB spy planted by KGB in UK and trapped Rajiv Gandhi. Antonio Maino's father was a Russian prisoner's of war. Her father worked as Nazi volunteers. Finally Rajiv had to pay the price for that spy Sonia to save her boyfriend Quatrochi and billions dollars of bribes. George Fernades rightly said that that woman should not be allowed to loot our nation and finally fly away like Japanese Fujimuri, who looted Peru.
3 Cs Corrupt Congress CPI & Envelope journalism: The Mitrokhin Archive, Volume II says It seemed like the entire country was on sale, "People in high places, including ministers, were willing to provide sensitive information to the highest bidder" Like that before the revolution the Bolsheviks obtained their funds by organizing… dacoities, by seducing heiresses… Though Indira was unaware, but ruble-suitcases were in her residence. Nehru has the same bohemian attitude towards audit objections: they belong to the same fussy bourgeois era of Gokhale and Gandhi. Was his Krishna Menon was not corrupt?
Newspapers reader can recall, Nehru himself said and accepted that he agreed in principle with the Communists. Once upon a time Pt Nehru said that accidentally he born in Hindu family. Under Stalin, according to Nehru, the people of Russia got “dignity of labour.” Some gems should be found out from Nehru’s speech in the Parliament on March 6 1953 to mark the “sad” occasion of Stalin’s death. Though Marx insulted Proudhon; Engels insulted Bukanin; Lenin insulted Kautsky; Trotsky insulted Stalin. Stalin scourged the Opposition even in the graves of their opponents.
The book titled Genesis & Growth of Nehruism Vol 1 : Commitment to Communism written by the late Sita Ram Goel, reveals that Nehru’s Man Friday, V.K. Krishna Menon (who also served as India’s Defence Minister) whom everybody blamed for the Chinese debacle was in reality, a mere pawn in the larger-than-life games that Nehru played with India and the Indian people. A step further, the focus of this book lies in exposing Nehru as a true-blood Communist.
Goel has traced Nehru’s fascination with Communism from the time Nehru first visited the USSR, in 1927. From being a pilgrim to the Soviet Paradise, Goel traces the steady, unswerving ideological commitment to Communism as professed by Nehru in every act of his: as a Communist pamphleteer.
Soviet attempts to cultivate Indira Gandhi during the 1950s were motivated far more by the desire to influence her father than by any awareness of her own political potential. Moscow still underestimated her when she became Prime Minister. In her early parliamentary appearances she seemed tongue-tied and unable to think on her feet. The insulting nickname coined by a socialist MP, DUMB DOLL, began to stick.
* KGB records show how spies penetrated the heart of India
The Indians lifted restrictions on the number of Soviet diplomats and trade officials in the country, thus allowing the KGB numerous cover positions. After Congress-led UPA came to power Russia appointed a former KGB spy/director as Ambassador to India. Delhi became a prized posting, “indicated by the subsequent promotion of some of the leading officers in the New Delhi residency”. One 1970s KGB man in Delhi went on to “become head of the post-Soviet foreign intelligence service, the SVR, with direct access to President Yeltsin”. Later, he “became a confidant of President Putin”. Vyacheslav Trubnikov returned to India as ambassador in 2004, an act “attributed by Russian press commentators to the mutual desire of Russia and India to upgrade their strategic partnership”.
According to the respected Swiss Magazine, Schweitxzer Illustrate [November 1991 issue], Rajiv Gandhi had about $ 2 billion in numbered Swiss bank accounts, which Sonia inherited upon his assassination.
Dr. Yevgenia Albats, Ph.D [Harvard], is a noted Russian scholar and journalist. She was a member of the KGB Commission set up by President Yeltsin in August 1991. She was privy to the Soviet intelligence files that documented these deals and KGB facilitation of the same. In her book The State Within a State The KGB in Soviet Union, she even gives the file numbers of such intelligence files, which can now be accessed by any Indian government through a formal request to the Kremlin.
Sonia Gandhi, chairperson of India's ruling coalition, now visited the twin Russian cities of Vladimir and Suzdal. Her father Stefano Maino -- who was an Italian soldier fighting against Soviet troops during World War II -- was jailed in the region of the above said twin cities as a prisoner of war for several years.
But her Russian hosts could not show her the prison where Maino was held, as the structure no longer exists. Maino, who later became a building contractor, never harbored any grouse or anger against his Russian captors. Rather, Sonia's father Stefano Maino fell in love with Russian culture and literature, government-run RIA Novosti reported pointing that all his daughters including Sonia (Antonio Maino) have Russian names and Sonia can also speak a little Russian.

Present Indian Govt. against Indian Tradition and Culture
Indian PM Dr. Singh criticizes Vajpayee to US President Bush and thus made subject of discussion domestic politics on the land of foreign. Few weeks ago He praised British rule in India at the time of accepting honorary Doctorate degree from Oxford University, London. His cabinet minister was Jagdish Titler whose name has been inserted in 84’ riots. Foreign Minister Natwar Singh also adopted the same attitude when he was visited to China. Sonia did the same mistake though knowingly in London when she was in Europe Tour. Congress is under the grab of Sonia’s Italian Fascism and Secularism. Rahul Gandhi is taking training for that. Public and parliamentarians should question to these irresponsible leaders.
Indian PM Dr.Manmohan Singh, Natwar Singh and Rahul Gandhi recently visited to Afghanistan. During that visit they have visited to Babar’s Grave. Needless to say Babar is an Invader, not a Indian King. There is another grave in Afghanistan, grave of legendary Rajput king Prithviraj Chauhan , a hero in India ,lying in a dilapidated condition in the outskirts of Ghazni . They didn't visit the grave and pay homage to the Hindu King. Can they forget Prithviraj Chauhan, union minister of state for prime minister’s office and Sonia Gandhi’s point man for Mumbai? They are only following the direction of Sonia Gandhi to please her. In this pleasing competition they placed garland on Babar in Ayodhya matter to please Muslims by showing their secular credentials at the cost of the pride of Hindu community. Still they are wiping for abolished Babari structure.
Lier Musharraf says:Pak ready to forget UN resolution on J&K ! Pak wanted to remind 900 years ago’s history in its own way. Provocative Ghauri was the main news appeared in media before some time. Pakistan has named its missiles Ghauri and Ghaznavi with the specific intention of taunting India. Ghori held a grand durbar to celebrate his victory. His prize catch, Prithviraj Chauhan, the king of Delhi, blind and a prisoner, was paraded and publicly humiliated. Deeply incensed by the treatment meted out to his monarch, Chandravardai took refuge to a subterfuge. He announced that though completely blind, Prithviraj could still hit a target guided solely by sound, and he asked for permission for this feat to be performed. Prithviraj Chauhan was handed a bow and arrow, and Chandravardai sang a now-famous verse which told him of the elevation and distance to Ghori's throne. And thus, guided solely by sound,
Prithviraj shot his arrow through Ghori.
“Prithviraj Chauhan was a coward who ran away to save his life during the second battle of Tarain with Mohammad Ghauri." "Jaichand (generally believed to be a traitor) was, in fact a 'hero' who gave up his life while fighting the forces of Ghauri." This is the "new" history that students of Class XI will learn under the CBSE and ICSE courses from this academic session. The revised history book, Medieval Indian History, published by NCERT, demolishes old beliefs and tramples over heroes of history. Edited by Prof. Satish Chandra, the fifth chapter of the book on Medieval History clearly states that Prithviraj Chauhan tried to run away from the battle, but was taken prisoner.
While the NCERT book throws new light on Prithviraj Chauhan and Jaichand, the Class 11 book Ancient India History, written by Prof. Ram Sharan Sharma, discards the presence of Lord Krishna during the Mahabharata. The book says, "Although Krishna plays an important role in the Mahabharata, inscriptions and sculptural pieces found in Mathura dating back to 200 BC and 300 AD do not attest to his presence. Because of this, ideas of an epic age based on the Ramayana and Mahabharata have to be discarded."

Does Election Brings New hopes for Bihar ?
The political quandary in Bihar has annoyed the natives of the state for a long time.
You can just feel the annoyance in the voices of the natives through their write-ups, as written in Jantaraj.
The Governor Buta Singh was alleged in bribery cases during the whole Presidential term. And the political parties were just tussling among themselves, leading to the complete chaos in the state. But the recent Election Commission decision has now comforted the inhabitants and they are now hopeful for the reorganization of democratic structures within the state machinery.
Please share your views in this regard so that the people of Bihar get the assurance that the whole India is with them, during their hard time.

INDIA
Are we truly a democracy?
Advani’s ‘secularisation’ of Mohammad Ali Jinnah has stirred unrest in the Hindutva corridors of power and Advani hate-speeches are doing the rounds. But it has also led intellectuals in India to debate whether Jinnah really was communal or has been so termed by us. This unsettling political episode has blown the dust from the History textbooks that describe the vivisection of India and the birth of Pakistan.
Jinnah – a non-practising Muslim wanted to make sure that the Muslims, who were in a minority got a fair deal in independent India’s politics. He put forward the demand for Pakistan as a bargaining counter for this end. The British and Congress wrongly perceived this tactic of Jinnah as a non-negotiable aim, resulting in partition, a joint mistake!
The partition that fractured a million families and sowed the seeds for perpetual communal unrest is seen as the collateral damage of the heroic war of independence.
Haven’t we often heard from our parents that Gandhi’s favouritism towards Nehru embittered Jinnah and Sardar Patel who felt deprived of the political presence they deserved.
What easier an approach than the divide-and-rule policy could the British employ to dampen the Indian spirit and sever it by fuelling the demand for partition.
The to-be largest democracy was cut into two by the political dynamics of a few men to result in widespread massacre and lifelong disputes over the ‘Heaven on Earth’, which is now the ‘Valley of terror’.
Even today, the politics of the country is a hostage of the political ambitions of a few powerful men and women who twist and turn the meaning of democracy to suit their ends.
Whether it be the ‘elections-president’s rule-elections’ game of hide ‘n’ seek in Bihar, the power reversal in Goa, the change of governors all across the country after every general election or the furore over one man’s tiny statement, the drama runs to full houses with ‘everything-is-breaking news’ phenomenon affected media-persons asking for more.
Who can’t discern the hidden agenda behind Rahul Gandhi’s monthly, but fruitless visits to Amethi? The exercise of creating a hero-like public image to prepare him for Prime Ministership is not an obscure reality.
How I wish Laloo existed only as the stylized Rs. 144 doll and not in his real embodiment of corruption and nepotism.
Ours is a democracy that is run by a few powerful men and women either by virtue of their dynasty or their power to wield the communal and casteist stick. For the sake of petty party politics and the hunger of power, issues of national importance such as terrorism and environmental degradation are jettisoned.
With a polygarchy in the guise of a democracy, are we once again headed for a national blunder as serious and with far reaching repercussions as the partition?
And the solution?
Well, is it time to shun the Parliamentary system and give the Presidential one a try? Any takers?

It is of great that UPA government is doing nothing to sought resignation of Lalu Yadav, who is a mafia, gunda and one of the traitor for the country, who has digged India's financial resources for filling its own treasure. He does't know that he will be covered with only a coffin when he dies. As far as UPA government is concerned than its just doing nothing concrete. Busy in saving its government and not thinking for the development of the country. Manmohan is just like a puppet in the hands of a foreigner Sonia Gandhi, soughting Indian citizenship is not a big problem for any politician and influencial person. The country is in such dissarrayed form that anyone can manipulate government machinery for his/her favor. I thing the general public is so much preturbed due to soaring prices over which UPA has no control that it will not see itself in power if voted today. All politicians whether in opposition and in government are big big criminals and there deeds comes open when opposition comes into power. They all have stained images. And their skin has become the skin of Rhinocerous on which nothing affects. I think country should be put on president rule for 5 years. Tainted Minister should not be allowed to contest election because to the public no choice is left to select among the gundas and mawalis and criminals who contest elections from within Jails. Such is our constitution. It needs tremendous changes as it has become 50 years old. Law has become weak. Infact law does not exist today which could safeguard common mans interest. UPA is taking a good ride as it is happy that Opposition is not attending Parliament. That what it is happy about. And Prime Minister appear more to be a poor chap which is busy 24 hours in thinking how to save government, that why everyone is dominating on him. As far as Sonia's Sacrifice is concerned than she is shrewd lady who want to rule from behind the scene and not to come in front so that her sarees is saved from stains. This is not surely a sacrifice as projected by Congress. The public knows the truth, that she is playing a safe game.

ADGI Sreekumar follows SP of TN Prem Kumar
Why Sreekumar did not maintain his diary when he was SP DIG and IG. Why he could not get promotion? Congress spokesperson and all other secularists says that Gujarat police is communal. Then who investigate you as Secular Police Officer? ‘‘I’ve been maintaining a semi-official diary from the time I was posted in the Intelligence Bureau. It contains detailed accounts of the instructions issued to the Intelligence Bureau and of meetings in which government officials were asked to present a picture of normalcy in the state before the Election Commission,’’ Additional DGI RB Sreekumar said. He wants to follow SP of TN Prem Kumar who made false grounds against Kanchi Mutt seer.
In a shuffle on Feb 23, 2005 the Gujarat government promoted three of the four additional DGPs to the rank of director-general but left out Sreekumar. In revenge after two weeks he began to say, ‘‘It is a private diary I maintained for my record. In my humble way I tried to oppose the instructions from higher authorities to prepare false reports, implicate innocent individuals and gather material for the government’s propaganda.’’ The timing and manner in which Sreekumar chose to reveal the diary shows conspiracy of lalu-Vaghela & Co. The timing reeks of personal vendetta.
Under well-planned conspiracy a coach of the Sabarmati Express was burned down to burn Karsevaks on Feb 27, 2002 in Godhra town. Sree kumar who became additional DGP (intelligence), about 40 days after the riots started.
Sreekumar was later transferred from the intelligence department police reforms and modernization because the political leadership suspected his role in the official secrecy leakage to the media. A day after newsweekly Tehelka exposed an audio CD of R.B. He has said he is willing to appear before the commission again. He has also said he will submit to the commission his semi-official diary.
Sreekumar maintains that he did not record the conversation between himself and an IAS officer and counsel who briefed him before his deposition. Nor did he give his diary to anybody. But he affirms that the transcript of the CD match the conversation he had with the officers and that the extracts from his dairy are correct. Do this not create doubt?
Rainy frogs human activists and organizations came in existence after burning Godhra train and Gujarat riot to get foreign money. Since that secular media and others became more active internationally against BJP and Modi. In the continuation Hindu personalities, Hindu organizations and Hindu heads were being targeted. Terrorists, separatists, naxalites, criminals, Christian missionaries, minority, Bangladeshi infiltrators were encouraged to throw BJP and NDA Govt.
Secularist investigated a secular ADGP RB of Gujarat. Congress spokesperson said: ``no one could be more tainted than Narendra Modi. Gujarat police is communal,’’ In live-telecast Big fight of NDTV, Hasan Johar, a so called human right activist said that the persons, those came to kill Narendra Modi, are may be called murderous, but not terrorists.”
What it mean? Who make a martyr to terrorist girl Ishrat for political gain in the cost of national integrity? Congress leaders attended death ceremony of her. English News paper wrote an editorial that case against Gujarat police should be registered. To gun down terrorist was against the human right.
Gujarat High Court has said in its judgment, “‘‘It appears that attempt is being made by journalist/human right activist and advocates Teesta Setalvad and Mihir Desai to have a parallel investigation. We do not know how far it is proper but we can state that it is not permissible under law.’’
On Feb 15, 2005 Vaghela repeated his prediction of Feb 6, 2005 that Gujarat BJP government's alleged involvement in Godhra massacre would lead to its fall in near future. On Feb 6, 2005 Textile Minister, rival of Narendra Modi said, ‘‘what happened in Goa can happen anywhere, anytime. There is a possibility of early Assembly elections in Gujarat. Election might be held about 12 months before the schedule. The police might be denying before the Nanavati-Shah Commission that they had any role in the riots, but I have personally collected all information. I know who was in touch with whom at that time,” He told media persons that he would ask the Home Department to set up a special committee to investigate Gujarat riots. Report of Banerjee Committee, says what Lalu said in Lok Sabha prior the appointment of Banerjee Committee. Now Vaghela is going on same line.
On Oct 23, 2005 Vaghela said Godhra might have been BJP work, "I know these people. And how fanatical they can be. I would not be surprised if the arson at Godhra was masterminded by them for their own electoral gains." Can any one believe?
While progressives and Islamic activists in America hailed the move to revoke Modi’s Visa as a victory for pluralism, here in India also same type of elements including Textile Minister Vaghela and Gujarat Congress opposition leader Arjun Modhvadia hailed the move of US.
Cong. seeks CBI probe into Gujarat official's charges because CBI is in its pocket.

Congress guns on Modi and Garlands for Musharraf
Why hate towards Modi instead of Musharaaf and Bush? UPA needed certificate from them. Bush appreciated UPA and criticized BJP. Bush & Musharraf for their entertainment made our secularists “drunk as a patriot”.
Center wants to intervene in the matter of Gujarat
Ground is being prepared: Vaghela to meet PM for his phone tapping issue
Retired Supreme Court judge Banerjee honored the words of Lalu in his interim report of Godhara Carnage. CBI does whatever Central Govt. likes. PM and Home Minister have been forced to take U turn on their statements related to Modi visa issue. For promotion bureaucrat does every ‘karm’ for his/her promotion. Then what did wrong Additional DGP R B Sreekumar for getting promotion? Parrots utter: “Modi Modi Modi”
Gujarat is safe for livelihood and economic activities
"The number of murders in Gujarat is 30 per cent lower than the national average and rapes 70 per cent lower. Compared to New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, the crime rate in the state is negligible," the CM Modi said in New Delhi. Citing recent examples, Modi referred to the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of the Dandi March, which saw not only Indians, but also over 200 foreigners taking part. "They had the first experience of peaceful environment of the state," Modi added.
Now Modi seeks Central White Paper on law and order in all states. "Instead of any of us blaming each other, it will be advisable that we present a true image of our country so that we as a nation do not lose out in the race of attracting FDI," Modi opined. The crime scenario is truly alarming even by Bihar standards in 2004. A murder almost every two hours, a riot in an hour and eight kidnappings and three rapes a day.
Did K.R.Narayanan heal the wounds of Gujarat Riot-Victims?
NDA opposed second term for then President K.R.Narayan. In revenge he blamed Vajpayee for Gujarat riot. To day Additional DGP R B of Gujarat Sree Kumar followed him. He was puzzled for not getting promotion. So he blamed Modi. Both accused in so unbelievable hated words, which even can’t be used by the enemy of India.
On the post-Godhra riots, Modi said, "It's sad that people with vested interest have treated it as a money-spinning business and people continue to fish for glory in the unfortunate event." Jahira accused that Teesta sold Gujarat riot abroad. Now Teesta Setalvad and Defense Ministry lowered the importance of affidavits. Teesta Setalvad filed so many affidavits in the name of Jahira Shaikh without her signature.
Defense Ministry gave clean chit to George Fernadis to file affidavit in the Supreme Court. Renounced Sonia went into ‘Kope Bhawan’. Das Munshi was wounded in Jharkahnd issue. He became ‘Manthara’ for the ears of Sonia. Defense Minister is his rival. Law minister H.R. Bhardwaj added fuel to the controversy with his public assertion that the draft cleared by his ministry and the affidavit submitted in the court were different. Then where is wrong Jahira Shaikh? Her oral statement might be changed by NHRC; same fate might of their affidavits through Teesta Setalvad.
Now second affidavit has been filed by the Defense Ministry to make alive charges on George Fernadis. Accusing the Centre of filing contradictory affidavits on the Rs 2,000 crore Kargil arms deals scam, a petitioner has requested the Supreme Court to direct the Defence Ministry to place before it all reports of the Central Vigilance Commission Bofors has been wiped out. Chara Ghotala will walk slowly because after the president rule Lalu becomes fully devoted to his deity Sonia Gandhi.

Someone rightly pointed out in this forum:
India's 90% economy is off-the-record. In other words, its reported GDP is only 1/10 of the true figure. Its per capita income thus is US$23,000 which is better than that of UK!
Take your pity elsewhere (to slums of London and NY!)

TO UPROOT THE CURRUPTION FROM GOVERENMENT OFFICES MY SUGGESTION IS THAT, PEOPLE SHALL BE AUTHORISED TO DO F.I.R AGAINST ANY GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL. IF MORE THAN THREE COMPLAITS ARE THERE, HE SHALL BE SUSPENDED & CASE IN COURT SHALL be done by the government against him. Chief justices must have vigilance officers drawn from judicial cadre to deal with corruption cases involving the judicial. The delay in justice is also crime, which is main cause of corruption in our democratic system
