saudi Arabia has one of the lowest crime rates in the world.
Even though stealing is punishable by cutting ur arm,
no one would think that stealing is a reasonable way to get money!!!!
think of it as a dterrent. When the US and Russia has big nukes that could destroy worlds, Big issue. okay world happy atleast payattention. but steal cut hand, wa lau! even larger issue! but no big big population wipe out no?!
and the cutting ur head part, its actually better than hanging! you dont feel anything...
and you actually spare other people's trouble...
and ... the original system is actually not flawed as much as western systems (in most muslims opinions flawless when compared to others) and its actually quite fair. For instance, when a man rapes a goat, the man is instantly put to court and sentenced if enuff evidence is found (duff, semen in arse ol). But if a man rapes a woman, but the woman said i wanted to do it, he goes free. does this mean that the western court treat goat higher than women?
