I just finished reading a great new book released last week in Delhi. It's called "Nani's Book of Suicides" and it's written by this person called Sunny Singh.
It has a weird, surreal touch to it. The story itself traces the lives of a woman and her granddaughter, and is interwoven with really interesting takes on traditional Indian myths about Meera, Draupadi, etc. I particularly liked the take on Sita. I never thought of her point of view, or what she must have felt till today.
I definitely recommend it to everybody to read. It made me take a reality check on what I think it means to be an Indian in today's world.
